Sunshine Day

July 31st, 2008

This is a volunteer sunflower that came up in my front flowerbed. Well, actually it was stolen from my bird feeder and planted there by chipmunks.

How tall is the volunteer sunflower? I have a volunteer tomato plant out by my compost pile. I just noticed it yesterday. It will be interesting to see what kind of tomatoes it produces.

It’s about 3 feet tall. There’s a big bunch of them growing together in the front flowerbed where the chipmunk buried a pile of seeds. I have a few volunteer tomato plants as well.
