Gardens Aglow

December 29th, 2015

This past weekend we went to the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden light event. The main part of the botanical gardens are lit up with thousands of light, I’m not 100% of the total number, but there are a lot of them! When I was in college in Cincinnati, we always went to festival of lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. It’s such a great way to celebrate the season and light up the dark winter nights.

Thank you Suzy for sharing those wonderful photos!
I almost feel like I was there myself.
Best wishes for the New Year, and enjoy the Bond marathon :-)

Susy, those lights are amazing. Our zoo in my city does the light decoration thing as well. We have a botanical garden here as well but I didn’t get there this year. Bradley and I went during the summer to see the new green house addition. I must of covered and I’m not kidding at least a full acre or more. It’s huge. Two levels of plants and two different divided areas of unbelievable designs. This garden is really amazing. They have 12 regular green houses and grow most of their plants for all the outside garden areas. There’s not vegetables. Just all flowers, trees, water falls, streams, and even a model train area with all the bridges, cabins, town buildings made out of small tree branches. The gardens and train area are mostly cared for by volunteers. There’s very few employees.

Have a great gardens aglow day.
