Friday Favorite: Ice Storms
Even though we often lost power and they cause a host of problems, I love a good ice storm. This past week had a beautiful layer of ice on everything outside.
It was lovely during the day and it was even better at night, especially in the old apple tree out front draped in white lights.
What are you loving this week?

Susy, first snow and now ice. Is there no end to the Winter in Maine. You can blame Punxsutawney Phil the Pennsylvania groundhog. They dragged him out of hibernation and he saw his shadow so the declaration was for six more weeks of Winter. Boy was he ever right this year.
Nebraska has been a different story. We had a full week of 60s with a couple 70 degree days in February. Then back into the bitter cold with a slow warm up. We are just now starting to come out of the night time 30s and a promise of some 60 degree days are on the week’s schedule.
Hopefully your weather will turn soon and outside gardening will begin. Have a great final ice storm day.
